Sex is just messy... to avoid the "who has to sleep in the wet spot" conversation, we keep towels at the ready as preventative - there is no limit to handy they can be (almost as handy as charles' pillows).  Sheets just don't get changed when you're done, it's late and you're tired.

Particularly tired after the effort just spent ;)

*meh* It's down to people's preferences I think.  Some go to the extent of showers as well.  My Mrs. is normally very fussy but after the effort and late at night, she nods off without a problem.

You can avoid major "wet patches" by moving around every so often, usually to change positions.  If you stay in the same spot, you're sure to put plenty of sweat into a single spot on the sheets.  Obviously up on all fours is the best position for avoiding fluids on the sheets.  A condom can help the the obvious fluid while a simple hand towel to wipe up with is all the woman should need.

With the risk of sounding like a 10-year old - sex is really gross.

But hey, I hear it's supposed to be great too, so who cares. ^^

You think sex is messy and sick? What about the "glory" of Child birth? Not to mention the proud honor of changing nappies and cleaning tar like poop off a baby's lower half (thats right, I said lower half, not just bottoms. The stuff goes EVERYWHERE inside that nappy).  Isn't having a child just so wonderful? *lol*

Making love is greatest when you can abandon yourself to the intimacy and passions of the moment.  Unfortunately those who are most self concious of both themselves and the "mess" involved tend to be the ones with the most difficulty in doing just that.

I swear, we've become a blasted germophobic nation. Thank God I grew up in the Solomon Islands where the food bowls were made of bat dung *lol*

It's the "not able stay focused" part that makes it difficult to always enjoy a sexual encounter, i don't care about the messy part much tho. But it would be nice if it wasn't that way  8)

And about kids.... EEEW!!! Stop screwing with my head by filling it with images of childbirth and such...

But hey, I hear it's supposed to be great too, so who cares. ^^

Everything biological is gross. Think about eating! All that saliva....that chewings...bits of everything in your mouth....shoving alien substances through a hole in your head to prolong your life. Disgusting meatbags!

You think sex is messy and sick? What about the "glory" of Child birth? Obviously childbirth is horrific and unnatural. Non-meatbags thus choose to "build" their children.

Lol, I have a friend who said everytime he had sex, they'd be on the couch or bed or whatever and in the middle of it he'd suddenly think, "Oh shit! I'm missing Yu Yu Hakusho!"

I kid you not.

@CDSM: *lol* yeah, child birth and rearing children is a messy process, but it's still considered the mirracle of life and parents look past those "messy" parts and simply end up joking about them and accepting them.  Even during pregnancy, no-one thinks too much about the fetus peeing inside the uterus.  It's just this wonderful thing that kicks against the walls.

All these people brought up in this germophobic time where I see people carrying sanity wipes and hand sanitizer lotions 24/7, then using them after pushing a shopping trolly or before and after every flippin meal.  It's no wonder the feel of our own, hot sweaty body let alone the feeling of another person's hot sweaty body against ours, often gives people the shivers.  And thats lead to more difficulty in people being able to ignore those feelings and abandon themselves to the passion of making love, because TV, media and a bajillion doctors are all hammering into us from birth that we need to be self-concious of these things.

Childbirth is one of the most vile, disgusting and unrewarding things that I can think of. Torn vaginas, blood, excrement, stretched, gaping cervixes and vaginal openings, excruciating pain. MESS! MESSSSSS!!! GROSS!

I would never ever put myself through something like that just to rewarded with a pink, wrinkly thing that screams and poops for the first year of its life, after wich it starts behaving like one of those tiny demons in cartoons, and gets even louder than it was before.

I'll stick with my puppy.

@Razzly: So I take it you don't plan to ever have children? *lol*

Hell, I don't care what you say. I'll bet you love holding babies and putting your hands on a pregnant tummy to feel a kick *lol*.  I know I did with my nephew and my sister in-law is currently carrying my next who's due within the next few weeks.

Actually i agree with Razzly here, and no i don't feel happy and fuzzy and warm inside when i hold a tiny baby... Not even my sisters baby gave me that feeling of love. Mind you i like my little cousins a lot and would go to hell and back for them. But to have a kid of my own? Nah...
And i never payed that much attention to my sisters pregnant belly and wen't all "aah and oooh" when the baby kicked.

On a side note.. i'm wearing jeans and a shirt..

@Charles: Me? Children? Oh no, I'm afraid that beside my tokophobia and dislike for children, I would never have the patience for a 2-year old. I'd too easily become one of those mothers who accidentally kill their child in a fit of rage... And I don't want to give up my life for anyone else. I want to live for me and me only. [/selfish to the core]

Also, nice that you like the kicking and babies - but do remember that -you- don't have to push it through a tiny little hole and suffer 9 months of moodswings, nausea, stretch marks and other permanent changes on your body.

I'm sorry, I'm a bit neurotic about pregnancy. Sometimes I get so bad that I can't be in a room with a pregnant person without getting dizzy and nauseated.

EDIT: Oh, and I'm sure that from this text you can tell that I would never put my hands anywhere near a pregnant belly. Reminds me too much of Alien.

See I'm just germ concious, I wash my hands before and after I'm gonna do sometihng extremely dirty, all those hand sanitizers are good for certain things but it's bad to abuse them.

As to all this kid buisiness, I hate them terribly. They're annoying, stupid, they don't listen, they're gross, and I wouldn't be able to deal with the fuckers without giving them some kind of mental damage. When I move out I plan on getting myself a vasectomy shortly afterward.

Heck, I want to live in a desert where it's too hot and dry for anything to live.

Except me, I mean.

Actually, I want to buried in a desert, so I become preserved and I'd have a piece of paper reading "I left all my millions in..." and maybe someone would find me and spend their entire life searching for a treasure that doesn't exist.

But see, this is all right because you're MALE and if you're MALE you don't HAVE to want kids.

For whatever reason women are expected to want and/or love children, and if they don't, then ZOMG SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THEM.

That's because society demands you conform, to the norm of what people think is right. It's bullshit.

And Odd that's because you aren't cooking it correctly, it's mostly fat which you can easily cook off/trim.
