Smart is a relative term. I may be good at math, but when it comes to certain areas of knowledge, most prominently social, I know very little.

I have a love/hate relations ship with math.

One the one hand, I love what it can do. On the other, I'm damned near dyslexic in how I handle numbers. None of my math teachers have ever been able to follow my train of thought on solving equations, and I can't follow theirs.

I often failed math courses for not being able to show my work in a format they could understand, if I was able to show any work at all. I sometimes arrived at answers without any real thought about it. Not that I'm any kind of math 'savant' mind you, I'm not that good at it.
