When you guys say "Nanaimo Bars" I am reminded of a character from my favoite anime, Azumanga Daioh, Nyamo.  :-*
I've never heard of them. What are those things like? I love Twix, Take 5 bars, and Reese's Nutrageous the best of candy bars, right now. What are y'all's favorite?  :D

Chocolate on top
custard in the middle
and coconut/chocolate mix on the bottom.

yummm.

as for chocolate bars, crunchie bars are my favorite.

nanaimo bars are little squares with a wafer crumb and coconutish layer, custard and then chocolate... to me they just have a very distinctive, delicious taste. (Like ontario butter tarts <3 Hello, homesickness again) Om nom nom.

edit, dude, pwncho, ninja-ing my description after I googled an image. i'm so posting this anyway

for candy/chocolate bars... I dunno, not much of a candy person these days

It looks kind of weird, but would probably be super tasty. My favorite donut is a chocolate custard-filled so I would probably love that kind.

Ok have to look out for that see if they have any here. My fave choccie bar is Cadbury's Fruit and nut.  Always take a big bar out on the hill with me as emergancy rations..................but always end up eating it when I get back home.

My mom loved those... it's because she was from Canada, I think. Not that they are bad or anything, just that a lot of candies in Canada aren't popular here in the states. Like Smarties. It was years and years since I saw a package of them in the US and I haven't seen any since, but they were all over Canada. I wonder why that is. Maybe it's just that companies like Hershey's aren't as big over there...

Yeah... for such a big country, the US is way too heterogeneous. Everywhere has McDonalds and Wallmart selling the same stuff. It kind of makes me sad.  :(

Well, i personally would not expect nanaimo bars to be in a candy ship... they seem more like a bakery item to me.
They just sell them wrapped in plastic, they get them bakery fresh most days.

Not only are smarties easy to get here - they're everywhere - I found out that nanaimo bars are pretty common.

M&Ms are awesome. They just don't have the same nostalgia for me that Smarties do.

It's like Cadberry cream eggs. They are kind of disgusting honestly (super sweet, super duper messy) but I love them because they remind me of my childhood and aren't sold in stores throughout the year.

Edit: I really want to try the new pretzel M&Ms I love any chocolate candy with salty pretzels in it.

Everywhere at once. Provided by everywhere at once, you mean Brisbane, Australia.

I will note - They're not always CALLED the same thing, but I've seen them in various bakeries and stores around in the past few days, now that I'm looking for them.

Not to mention "white" also refers to hispanics. I would prefer the usage of "caucasian" or "non-native americans, but they still think they are"
