Assuming that's aimed at me, it was my cousin Joline's  *not gonna lie, no  idea if that's how you spell her name >.>; *  21st birthday, but I was hanging out with my cousin Justin, whom I'm almost always hanging out with.

21st b-day parties can be fun ;D

That's only if someone takes you out drinking.

Mine, on the other hand, was spent listening to "Sixteen Tons" continuously and trying to change it to birthdays. "Another year older and deeper in debt, and all that".

I spent three days drinking/partying with friends for my 21st.

Oh man, and one of those was a full day of going through the strategy mode in soul caliber three while drinking with friends. I don't even remember how we beat it, but it was pretty epic >.>;

Beyond that, it was your usual fare of good food, mario party (for gamecube!) and bad movies.

Ah, memories..

Hmm - We have win and fail.

Win! : I got free tickets to the Hairy Bikers show at Aberystwyth Arts center off a mate, and I should be able to ride my moto down there and back in a reasonable amount of time.

Fail!: That's the university Salubi(who loves the hairy bikers) and her psycho scumbag of a boyfriend are going to, and as she loves the hairy bikers, and he'll lay out any amount of money if it gets him reward sex, they'll probably be going. I have some choices -

1)Go along, ready for trouble, but openly, since I'm not exactly hard to spot, and if they see me, a fight will break out. I won't lose this fight, you can put money on that, but it will cause unnecessary trouble, and even if I end the fight without hitting him, it will be bigger trouble, because suffice it to say, the police don't take kindly to that thing - and you can bet your arse that a big, burly rugby player losing a fight to some "pathetic little coward loser" like me would end in the police knocking on my door due to an "anonymous" tip.
Advantages - I will be showing the little bully I'm not afraid, and I don't have to go to any effort. Also, probability of having the satisfaction of getting to take him apart in the name of self-defense, and melting his pompus little ego like butter under a blowtorch in the process.
Disadvantages - Trouble, and lots of it.

2)Go along, but disguise myself - Dye my hair and beard with wash-out dyes, change the style of my hair, a touch of stage makeup and maybe a prosthetic or two, wear clothes the ex won't recognize, carry extra gear for on the fly changes if needed, and change a few other things, like my gait and stance, etc, etc. No trouble will be likely, but the cost of the extras (hair dye and spirit gum) will cut into my budget.
Advantages - I love gettin' my disguise on, and I'm damn good at it.
Disadvantages - Cost.

3) Don't go.
Advantages - No expense, No trouble
Disadvantages - I don't get to go to the Hairy Bikers for free, who I'm a huge fan of, and I don't think I'll get to see them again any time soon.

Why don't you take the fourth option?

Go, don't let their existence ruin your good time. In fact, their existence really has no hold on your life what so ever. Disguising yourself would look like something it's not if you're found out, and will generate a fair bit more trouble. Just ignore them completely, if they are there. Even if they try and come talk to you.

If you don't think you can ignore them, which is understandable especially given how much you're brooding on it >.>, then don't go.

I say 1 or 4 and in case you see trouble coming, make sure you'll have witnesses around that are likely to favour your cause :P

Um... I am not an expert, but from the sound of it, they'll be enough people at this thing to avoid those too completely, Churba.

It's your decision, but know that not going to something you really want to go to just because some muscle bound douchebag is going to be there is probably not really what you want to do. Your obviously not a chicken, but you will probably feel like one if you stay home. A little drama is probably worth going to something awesome and free like that, and there is a good chance you won't see the goon anyway.  Bring a friend with you, they can back you up and help take your mind off those two and enjoy yourself.

I didn't like left for dead one, so no. I played it a little one night and had a  such a hard time figuring out what I was supposed to do. I just killed zombies until I got lost and then got frustrated that I couldn't get out of the level.
Then I went back to Duels of the Planeswakers. If I am playing Xbox 360 I'd rather be playing that anyway. Well, that or Halo.

I would help if they would tell you what your objective was, or you at least had a map, but wandering around an abandoned world were everyone is a zombie and you have no idea where to go is just... depressing.

Weird, maybe I just wasn't paying enough attention. I was expecting it to be brainless and then I got lost. Still, some kind of window ticking off objectives would have been helpful.  :-\

There really isn't an objective it's just "get to the next safe house" or "escape"

It's the area you need to get to for that section of the campaign to end, it has ammo med kits and other assorted things in it.

It should be noted that if I were in your shoes, Churba, I wouldn't go.

I've had similar situations come up down here ...fairly recently... and I told myself I'd enjoy myself anyway, but ended up regretting it in the end. No matter how much I live in my head or how rational I can be, the sight still had me shaking a bit from anger and I went home with my heart racing.

If it's still enough for you to brood at the mere thought of it, how would you feel faced with it?

---
Also Pozf, I haven't yet. I have Dragon Age and Borderlands in the mail right now, so I imagine I'll be quite busy next week as it is >.>

Well it's only a demo you should do it now before it's too late and the other massive amounts of awesome consume your time.

Really?  :'(
Like one of those house places like the farm house by the water?
What do you do then? I got to one of the farm house (you know, after you go across the street through the abandoned house and kill the zombies at the farm?) and I couldn't figure out what to do next. I waited around for the stage to end and nothing happened so I figured I'd gone the wrong way and tried to go another way, only I couldn't find another way to go. Is there an icon or something that enables saves at safe houses? Once you are there, how do you get the stage to end?  :-\

I haven't played the first one in months so I don't know what your talking about.

But if it was a safe house you need to close the door. The game will usually have a pop up thing, like when it tells you to save a team mate from a special infected, telling you to wait till everybody is inside to close the door.

Here I went on youtube and found THIS playthough of the first campaign * no mercy*  , you can see the first safe house at about 3:10 keep watching or watch before that if you want a better explaination of the game, because that's all the game boils down to.

I do remember there being a house near a lake, but that was the end of a campaign *don't remember which one*  and the escape sequence where they point out to you what to do.

Ah well your going right? like it's been said with a big event like that the chances of you even bumping into them are pretty low. and if you do you can always say you're trying to meet up with soemone... or something.

bummer about your radio show thing.:/ uni can be like that anywhere.
