That looks like how they tried to shoot down low-flying aircraft in WWI. Nowdays it could work against unarmoured helicopters, but most western armies use dedicated surface-to-air missiles(man portable or vehicle mounted), AT4's and Heavy machineguns for that job

did he get it?

He actually quite randomly decided he hated living with me and moved out and back in with his parents who live 2000 miles away.

Yes, but not for a while, and not at the same speed. The speed of a falling bullet like that isn't enough to kill anybody. Bruise them, maybe, but not kill.

But with the slightest angle, the bullet retains a ballistic trajectory and is still somewhat dangerous when it comes back down.

Not really - The problem is that it tumbles, rather than spins, which messes up the aerodynamic properties of it. It comes down without enough speed to do more than bruise. Firing up at an angle like that, you're unlikely to get a ballistic trajectory - you shouldn't fire guns into the air anyway, just in case, but what they're doing there should be pretty safe. To get a balistic trajectory like that, you have to get enough elevation for it to go high, but not enough that it sheds most of it's kinetic energy just climbing.

Guess that's a no. Absolutely his loss. Are you going to be looking for a new roommate?

Eh, the main reason I wanted a roomie was to save some money, but I found out that I'm taking enough credits in school to put my student loan payments on hold (payments which are currently over 1/3 of my income) so that basically frees up way more money than a roomie would.  Without the economic incentive I'm pretty damn happy living alone.  The first thing I did when I came home from work after he left was get undressed as I walked through the door and flop into my bed without having to worry about an audience, lol.

If I had a rommate I'd have to tell him/her to get used to seeing me in my underwear because I can never stay in my clothes all day.
Usually I only wear panties when it's warm enough. Would be hard to give that up. :/
Just plodding along.

Heh, I'm so spoiled living alone for similar reasons.

Granted, if I ever did shack up with someone, they'd have to be the sort of people I could hangout naked with ;)

Yeah... he's a pretty sheltered/conservative guy (military family, home schooled, never lived away from home before), and I'm pretty sure the one time he walked in on me changing he about had a heart attack.

But yeah the "get in the door from work and be stripped by the time I reach the end of the hallway" ritual is pretty much my favorite part of the day.

*stumbles in and collapses*

Damn, it's a busy world out there.  And a slow one in here. Last post was in August?  I'm in the middle of remembering why once upon a time I worked three jobs.  And swore I would never do it again.  And trying to figure out a way out of it.

Also, I'm apparently doing one of those zombie run thingies mentioned above in two weeks.   Here's hoping that I can still outrun my buddy that I'm going with.  He's my zombie bait.

Aahhh.  I haven't been to these forums in forever.  Things are basically ridiculous at work.  My boss got suspended.  Our department is being accused of fraud.  One of my coworkers gave a client benzotropine instead of benadryl.  And one of my coworkers admitted to bringing in HIS DOG'S pills to give to a client b/c he figured they were basically the same as what the client was taking.  So everything is a giant clusterfuck right now and I have had like zero free time while all this shit is going down :(
