If I'm ever less lazy, I'll try to flesh it out with more spells and non-legendary cards.  I don't know how we'll play, though.  Maybe over Skype?  Either that or we need to just real quick program up a Magic engine to play online that lets you enter the cards you want to play with.  We'll only have to program about 8 quadrillion rules or so...oh and then the infinite interactions between those rules...should be simple!
Or you need a program, that lets you put custom cards on a display, moves them, rotates them and whatever is needet, with a chat box at the bottom. Should be a bit simpler than putting in any rules.

Good point Hans...luckily it seems there is a program already.

My first few attempts:  What a nice piece of software!  I can't believe it's free.

Not really the picture I wanted for "Ninja'd", but that was the first one I did and I just grabbed it...though it is kind of funny.

In the future, Akasha's robot army and some mechanized troops (tanks and stuff) relating to Oddball, Emp_Dragon, and shadowfire.  I'm thinking they'll make up the bulk of the common green creatures (the tanks and stuff, maybe a jet fighter, not Akasha's robots-they'll be black prob.).

Wow I could just not do anything for the rest of my life now besides design magic cards...I'm starting to get all kinds of ideas...not good.  I already had a lot planned to accomplish today and so far have not done thing 1.  It's a bittersweet feeling to be inspired though!

edit: omg I just had a great idea!!  I Must get off the computer though!  Seriously though, this is too easy.  These cards make themselves!!  (mostly cuz Keaoden already did all the hard ones ;))

btw if somene else implements my ideas I do not mind...it will save me some time which I can apply to real life anyways.  (That's gonna be one of my cards by the way, Real Life. :D  Don't do that one!)

Anyway, for example Akasha can have more than one type of robot or ninja in her army.

hmmm...but how to represent that as a game thing....

edit: also, there doesn't seem to be a "foil" control on this software.

edit: here are the rest of the results of my burst of creativity.  Thank you.  I also got some good homework done tonight, in between making cards.

You'd need something like blue Keaoden or Deatzh swinging in with the big numbers...and even then you might still need to kill Selan (sorry Selan!)

that's a compliment too that you just gave yourself :/

it means you're probably normal, or at least more normal than people that play magic.

OK, I have to say it...why have I been painted as bashful?  It's due to my God-title isn't it?  charles?  Am I bashful?  well, I guess I sort of am...but I didn't think that was my overriding quality.  Not that I know what that is...

I think it was a notable quality at the time or something.  The sex thread was in your area or something and you were making out to be wide-eyed about some of the things getting posted at the time.

It may also have had something to do with some absences you were having at the time *shrug*

ok, thanks.  That makes sense.

I never minded much until it was on a Magic card. :-[

So..*rubs toe in sand* no one commented on my Magic cards.  I know they're not as awesome as Keaoden's, but are any of them funny?  I thought a couple were pretty funny.  *stares at ground shyly*

It's because I made everybody read like 8 posts blabbering on about Magic nonsense isn't it?  I'm sorry, I got excited.  Magic's my main hobby/addiction.

Anyway, I'll make more.  Not trying to steal Keaoden's thunder, I just enjoy this and think there should be a whole set more or less.

Pozf, where are yours?

psh, I don't remember you being bashful at all, quite the opposite, Umber!

I agree that there should be a full set. Would really like to play modded magic with you guys :)

I must confess I've never gotten into the new-age card games.

I'll have to get myself a book and read through it one day or something.  Then again that site might have enough information for me to figure it out.  Been through most of the RPGs and Warhammer40k together with some other stuff but never these card games.

Did anyone ever try to make one of these games from Card-captors?  That could have taken off well during the day when that manga/anime were popular.

Thanks Akasha!  That's what I thought!

Yeah only certain people like these card games, and it seems that they're drawn to them right away.  Most people find all the rules annoying, but some seem to enjoy the infinite complexity due to all the little interactions between the cards.  It's not really that there's a lot of rules (well no it's that too) but just because each card is unique, you often have to think a bit about how that card's going to play, and it's often not what you think unless you understand the rules really well.

So part of playing well is being well-studied on the rules.  It's pretty much a necessity these days actually, since Magic tends to be really competitive for some reason, especially if you play out at a card store or whatnot (or Online).  I guess it's because it's played by anal geeks who invest a lot of money in the cards?

If you're with a group of friends though, it can still be laid-back and fun.

heh, I can remember back in my chess club that some kids used the same room to play one of those card games (I think it was the Magick one) and man alive they used to argue and shout about this and that rule like you wouldn't believe.

...Not that its any better to shout scream and laugh during an RPG game played out with books, sheets of paper, pencils and some dice... But when your mage dies and the warrior uses his corpse to bash a wind elemental to death... thats just bound to make people laugh, piss off the mage player and set the GM to argue that a dead wizard is not a magick weapon.

Hey Odd,

What's that first plane doing?  Is that some kind of crazy bomb?

What's the second one doing?  Laying a torpedo into the water?
