Guilty Pleasures.
« on: November 04, 2009, 06:46:58 am »
...No, I'm not talking about masturbation, here.

Anyway, do any of you have a habit or hobby that you're slightly ashamed of, and/or would rather not tell all your friends about?
Something that goes against your morals or lifestyle, but that you can't help but enjoy?

Post post post! No one here will judge. ;)

As for me...
Braincell-killing fashion magazines and chick-flicks!
As you all know, I generally look down on the stereotypical dumb girl who doesn't know anything about anything except makeup and hair, but I -love- the dumb magazines full of makeup-tips and fashion and articles about how to stay sexy, they allow me to relax and be girly for once. And I know I'm capable of thinking logically and being at least as smart as my male aquaintances while still attempting to take care of myself, so these magazines let me "rest" for a while.
Same goes for chick-flicks, they're stupid, shallow and completely unrealistic, but they let me cry like a baby and sit in my dreamworld of perfect men and a never-ending supply of shoes for a while, before I go back to fighting for my equality. Ahem.

Yes, like I said, postpost!

Watching "Dog the Bounty Hunter".

Reading hentai. And I don't masturbate to it either. Sometimes you find gems that are cute, or hilarious.
Or at that sometimes I read rape hentai because it pisses me off. And I like being pissed off.

And among my anime friends, liking "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya".

I actually really enjoy Paramore *shudder* the drums suck, and the bass and guitar always seem to be breakdowns and overall suck. But damn her voice makes me want to listen to more.

Also I enjoy chick flicks and shows. I don't know why, maybe it's the overall romantic feel? I'm not sure but I always find myself immersed in them when I'm watching them.

My hair. In all honesty it gives me a great sense of pride in myself, something that not many people have or can keep it in the condition I do is really a good feeling. The fact it produces such envy is just a fringe benefit.

Social experiments, yah I know its sick to toy with people but I find it so very fun and satisfying. Dropping little things here and there, seeing how people react, what they say, how it affects them and so on. I've found that its one of the best ways to cure my boredom. I light a fuse and watches what happens.

My guilty pleasure is a lack of experimentation. I just assume the worst. Even if they don't do the worse, it's just because they think someone might be watching.

Hi.
I've been out for two years, so warn me if I act like I missed something obvious. ^^;

I take it you haven't seen [link=http://www.yugiohtheabridgedseries.com/]Yu-Gi-Oh the Abridged Series[/link].
Long story short, one of the characters is obsessed with his hair, and makes sure everyone around him knows it. He also likes to start his sentences with "ATTENTION DUELISTS" for some reason.

I used to be totally in Eureka's Castle. And Face was totally awesome. They don't have cool stuff like that any more. That's why kids these days are growing up to be delinquents.

I know what you mean there are too many crappy shows that don't have the charm of old cartoons

Does having an imaginary friend despite being way too old count?
