Surprisingly Good Made-for-Tv Movies
« on: August 08, 2009, 06:42:35 pm »
Okay, I know what you're thinking.

The Made-For-TV Movie. The bottomfeeder of specialty cable stations (Syfy, Lifetime, etc).

Often a cesspool of horrible acting, corny dialogue, and the cheesiest special effects in the world.

But, could there be a glimmer of goodness?

Now, I'm not asking you to rank any of these up with your favorite films of all times, but what MFTVM's have you seen that you found to be genuinely entertaining (even if they were enjoyable because they were so ridiculous).

ok the made for tv movies are usaually SH*TE for example The Dirty Dozen: The Next Mission it had all the same lines  from the first one and you could see that Lee MArvin did to want to do it. Sorry if this is not what you wanted CDSM but there you go.
What good is dreaming it if you don't actually do it?.

Does Serenity count?
Hi.
I've been out for two years, so warn me if I act like I missed something obvious. ^^;

...oh, and to anyone who missed me, I'm open to hugs, kisses, and intense tearful cuddles.

For the purposes of this discussion, I'd discount any series-based movies, since quality-wise those are often the same as the show.

I'm talking about from-the-blue original movies.

Now...I may as well give some of examples. I thought a few of the Disney Channel Original movies were pretty good, back in the day, at least for the age I was. I probably wouldn't be that interested now, but they were at least watchable on the side.

Unlike the one I watched the other day, that spurred this discussion, called "Ice Spiders" on Syfy. Man, that was horrific.

I tried to watch ice spiders once... It really wasn't worth a second attempt have to say i didn't like that one.

the most recent made for tv movie I enjoyed was "my fake fiance", it was actually a nice. the plot wasn't too bad and it was kinda fun to see joey lawrence and melissa joan heart, together they played their characters really well.

I watched The Good Witch on Lifetime a while back, and it was better than I thought it would be.  I can't think of any others at the moment.

I watched grizzly park tonight, and it was a typical terrible slasher but it was funny
