Why would bayonets be banned? It's damned more inhumane to beat someone to a pulp with the butt of the rifle... ;D

Not really, and if I do I'll be using it as a utility knife, exclusively. (though in case of war I would be likely to mount it if nessessary, as well as carrying a longer, sharp bayonet that doesn't fit the rifle as a backup weapon for close quarters.)

I just found out that BRIAN BLESSED will be playing Odin in the upcoming Thor movie.

I guess this is a lie.  :(

Anthony Hopkins is going to be Odin.

just got back from an epicly awesome night of rollerskating at wumpskate, which was also the ladead community potluck. Of tasty, delicious win. They played a song about the konami code AND I got to skate holding hands and talk to the cutest girl there, who was dancing and twirling on rollerblades. Ex-figure skater. Then she pointed out her boyfriend. Figures, though I'm not too concerned, but I'm quite pleased that attempting to converse with random strangers that are awesome worked out well. :P

so yeah, I have a big vat of happy.

Holy shit it's hacker christmas.

I found an old Poqet PC in my mother's garage, there's still a lot of my dad's computer stuff in there. Perfect condition, this beauty is from 1989. and.. I just got it to work! It has a serial port and a serial talk program on it I can setup in BAUD. Total sex. (It's running bloody ms-dos 3.30)

It's not y2k compliant, lol. So I set it for 11-24-1984. I'm going to experience my own birth in about a month :)

Highlights:

(See: Borderlands in the background, completely unloved)

Goodbye, sleep I may have had.

Ha!  We had an old program running on DOS 3.3 in the flash memory of some label machines in an old company I worked for.

NOBODY had labelers which could go as fast as ours.  It was a bitch of a thing to program and update each time, etc, but because it was so small it was lightning fast in the label machines.  Everyone else in the country was pretty much using linux or a windows PC attached to the side.  Problem is, even with the more recent linux, it's just not as lithe as any of the old stuff (even Microshaft's).  All their setups would involve boxes getting shifted into 2-3 different rows with 2-3 label machines so they could label as many boxes as we could on one track with one label machine.

Best I got now-a-days is some old 1.44 floppy disks for installing DOS 6.22.

...Now excuse me while I go back to feeding my new addiction for Megaten *lol*

And in the role I had during compulsory service, the target the boys at the pieces were dropping shells at would only be a set of coordinates to me.

I'm happy right now that people still post in Free Talk even when I only get in here like once a week.  It's slow, but it's cool and laid-back and free and people still drop in.  The Thread of Ultimate Badass is pretty fun (ASS-RIPPINGLY FANTASTIC-MAZING!) too I have to admit.

I'm happy that p-Fae has apparently come back!

I'm also happy that Razzly loves us (I KNOW YOU LOVE US RAZZLY!!!!  We love you too so nyaaah!! :P:P:P)

I'm home again in my shared appartment!!!YAY...Spend the holidays with my parents and family...
There is no place like home after a few days being part of the daily routine over with my parents...
I love my parents...they are the best parents ever, but having my own space is priceless...
