And the peace-time regulations for that weapon stipulates that one fire-team may only fire six full-load cartridges in any given 24h time span :P I shot three today, two dummy anti-tank shells with full drive load and one live smoke shell :P
On the downside, my arms feels as if amputated at the collar bones due to carrying that 14kg wrought steel bitch of a gun today and four 4-5kg 20mm practice shells all day yesterday on top of my own gear consisting of a 7.62 NATO assault rifle with 140rounds and other misc combat gear up and down hills and through woods and thorns...

But it was ALL worth it ;D

The weather here has been bouncing all over the place, hot, warm cold, hot, freezing.

But now to the guts of the post. The looks on peoples faces when you're talking about crazy crap. Today me and my brother were talking about caffeine, Pure caffeine. We were talking about the standard stuff, why people don't just snort it cut with something, and how much the lethal dose is, that kind of thing. And I look around and everybody in earshot is staring at us with this bewildered look. Made my day.

It snowed!

For like, 30 seconds, but it snowed!

That's good news, Razzly!

It's been doing the half-snow around here lately. You know, it looks like it's raining/misting, but the droplets float around like snow.

Lumi...that's the Finnish word for snow, right? I think it's a very cool word.

In other news, I'm having a related elated period right now. I could squee! And I don't know why...
Chalk it up to bipolar, I guess.

Yes, that's right! ^^

Oh, and... Bipolar? Seriously? You might wanna get medication for that.

I don't think I have bipolar as an actual "disorder" or anything, it just describes I seem to inexplicably flop between elated and depressed.

And I'm shy about getting psychologically evaluated or anything...I don't want to be told there's something wrong with me and I need pills to be okay.

Pills aren't a solution....Don't let ppl make you think you are crazy...ppl get ups and downs...If your moods don't control your life or bother you everyday...you should just enjoy your life! :P  And be a happy crazy person....just like the rest of us ;)
We are all weird :P

Why is everyone so pill-phobic?

I'm on anti-depressants, and I don't feel brainwashed or brain-dead or anything. In fact I don't feel different in any way, apart from being slightly drowsy a few hours after taking the pill.

I'm not pill-phobic, but i don't think it solves a problem...do you feel a lot better now? Being on those pills?
I mean....isn't every-one allowed to be a bit weird, or feel a bit weird without having to go to a shrink or psychologist for that matter....Emotions are normal!
Emotions are those things that make you human, and i just think that if your moods and uncomfortable feelings aren't controlling your life or bothering you everyday...why would you use pills?

When a "mood" (in this case, a bad one) is constant and interferes with your daily life, it's not normal anymore. If you're unable to enjoy anything, unable to go to school or even to the store, then I don't think sucking it up is going to help. :)
Being weird is not bad. Being sad every now and then is not bad. But being unable to enjoy your life at all, is bad.

On topic: I'm going to try and go to a Halloween-party tonight! Unless I fall asleep before that...

Yes. :) I was just pointing out that pills -can- be a solution, and I don't think discouraging everyone who thinks they might need them is a good idea.

I just found out that BRIAN BLESSED will be playing Odin in the upcoming Thor movie.
That... is pure brilliance.

Surely you mean "gun of a bitch"?

Just won an online auction for a bayonet, and when I called the seller, he said that it had been sharpened butcher a few years ago and was still sharp when he found it rummaging through his basement :P (It's a bayonet that would fit the modified G3 assault rifle I was assigned when I joined the homeguard) ;D

Not sure. Certainly, the most common way to produce an EMP (i.e. set off a nuke) is banned...
