...but, come to think of it, Gwar did lose their way for quite a few years in the middle of their existence. That's actually most of the albums I just got. I'm still glad to have them, but they got away from their metal/punk rock roots for a while. Nowadays they're very straightforward metal. Actually, nowadays they're pretty good in my opinion, and in a way that probably quite a lot of people would like, especially people who are into metal. I think their popularity is going to go up actually if they can keep it up.
It's weird, and maybe disturbing at times, it depends on your sense of humor and level of pent-up agression, but it's good quality music. The new stuff I mean. And a bunch of the old stuff. The middle stuff? Not all good.
But the thing to do is see them live!!
