I confess I have neither seen nor read Twilight and that I fully intend to be blissfully ignorant and judgemental about it. And if throngs of 14yo girls want to rip me apart for that, they can very well die trying.

What is it about that book that makes women go so crazy? A friend of mine, graduate student, magic the gathering player (so you know she's smart

) wife and mother, got roped into reading that book by her females freinds and now she can't get enough. All I've seen is the cover and the fact that it features
-gulp- sparkly vampires. Could one of you more x-chromzoned among us tell me what the draw is becuase I really would like to know.

That stalking and manipulative, abusive and controlling behaviour is romantic, for example. Have you also noticed how Bella is a personality-lacking cardboard character, who has absolutely no depth and needs to be constantly steered and saved by Eddie-boy? And imprinting! If that is not disgusting, I don't know what is.

I am pretty ignorant on this but i think our lovely panda is refering to the controlling and abusive nature of the vampire boyfriend in the books. At least that's what I heard. All I know is from accidentally landing on it's page on TV tropes. $:-\$

I confess that I'm afraid of being too hungry, because my worst sides tends to come out and then I don't want to eat, mostly in order to hurt myself further.

I also confess that I still have romantic feelings for 2 people on this forum, and somehow they keep on growing.
I'm not in love though. I have a large 'feelings-span'.
