Obviously these physical conditions cannot be cured with 'talking'. Talking can't stabilize your hormone-balances. Sometimes pills are more than necessary.
Obviously not Cured, but pills don't 'cure' either. they help, just like talking does sometimes more, sometimes less, it depends completely on the person. Example being Prozac, and the 3 other SSRI's the shrink put me on (not at once) did nothing but give me hallucinations. Granted he had never heard that before, but still.
And yes sometimes pills should be use and are necessary. But pills are over prescribed very over prescribed, and I think that the person should go through a period of just talking to a shrink before they prescribe anything, because that is sometimes all it takes. And any psychiatrist combines the 2 types of therapy, talking and drugs (sorry I can't remember the proper terms I'm starting to get sleepy), because that's whats most effective.
