e3 and upcoming games
« on: June 01, 2009, 09:16:11 pm »
God, sometimes I really love living in Los Angeles. Even if e3 has lost it's luster in recent years. I'll probably be able to escape and go to e3 this thursday.

Has anyone been following the viral campaign for Kojima's next big game? Metal Gear Rising is going to be multiplatform! Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. I have to say, after beating mgs4, the idea of kicking ass as Raiden is utterly appealing to me.

Pixeljunk is also showing a new game, pixeljunk shooter. I've really enjoyed everything they've put out so far.

And hey, Starcraft II is in beta this summer.

So yeah, there's quite a bit of interesting stuff being announced/coming up. Are you guys looking forward to anything in particular?

I haven't paid attention to my video games recently, I've been way to ... something.

Anyway the only game I've been looking forward to actively is Diablo III. MMMmmmm Diablo III.

And I hate you for living there, you get access to such high level nerd and geek gatherings!

Be careful what you say. You might have a stressed out geek show up at your doorstep.

Edit: Actually I remembered another game I'm looking forward to. Bioshock II in November  ;D

ok maybe I have been far to engrossed in Company Of Heroes and Dawn Of War for far too long......either that or I know my laptop wont be able to handle them for lack of space on the hard drive.
What good is dreaming it if you don't actually do it?.

My gripe: A Silent Hill game without a battle system?!  (Or so I read on Wiki, I know Wiki is evil, but still.)
Please tell me this is not true.  The cellphone thing was dumb enough, but no fighting?

I don't remember if it was on E3 or not, but has anyone heard of the new Aion game?  I got accepted for the Beta.  I just hope my computer can handle it!

Another overhyped blizzard game?
What is this the third or fourth one?

I still don't understand why starcraft is so big.
I'm still waiting for blizzard to announce World of starcraft.

I just remember back to the good old days of SC1 which I rather enjoyed playing together with WC1 and WC2.  I kind of liked the storyline with Kerrigan and all that.  There's nothing quite like sending 12 of those cruisers over with the cannons to blow the crap out of something either.  Or 12 of those tanks transforming into seige mode all at once and blowing the @*#% out of your enemy.

It's probably more nostalgia that would make me love it.  Ahhh and the good old Red Alert... NUKE!

Yeah, and I still play total annihilation when I get the chance, might be a genre thing.

Metroid: Other M, Vanquish, and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. All of the other games that I was anticipating for this year have already been released.
