Good Blues Music?
« on: May 23, 2009, 11:30:14 am »
So yeah, I just watched the Blues Brothers movie again (so awesome) and noticed that I really like the "Peter Gunn Theme"
Anyways I'm too lazy to start exploring the world of blues by myself. Anyone know anything that can start me off? Something similar to that song?

I don't particularly think that song is considered blues, I really wanna say smooth jazz, but I'm  nowhere near positive. When I think blues and think BB king, or Clapton. But that's just me.

Heh, I geuss it was pretty foolish of me to assume it's blues because of the name of the film. I also really like Sweet Home Chicago (I think it's closer to blues).

What's that? A remake?

I was dreading that answer :s
I never heard of the sequal, but I can only guess how much it sucked. The Blues Brothers is the kind of movie you're supposed to keep the way it is. They shouldn't have touched it.

it sucked big time. It has Russian Mafia in it this time out after them only goo thing is they brought back Jeff Morris and his country bunker and Frank oz but as the prison warden this time instead of a guard. Elwood plays the part of Jake there is a little annoying Munchkin in it and you find out that Cab's son is acctually a Police chief who then later on in the film joins the band. what ever you do DONT WATCH IT!!!! if you dont want to be tarnished for the rest of your life.  I'm beyond saving since I have the sound track and the film.
