Shows starring Real People as Themselves
« on: May 02, 2009, 05:05:01 pm »
As I type, Jonas (!) is premiering on the Disney channel. Starring the Jonas brothers. As the Jonas brothers.

Somehow I feel as far as "tv show based on a band as fictionalized versions of themselves" goes, "Flight of the Conchords" did pretty well.

I'm not actually sure what my point in typing this is.

[Thumbsdown./]

Worse then a reality show (and that's already pretty bad).

That is all.
I got 99 problems but a nymphomaniac jester girl ain't one.

Depends who it is IMO. Over here we have this comedian who has a show starring himself as himself, and it's pretty funny.

I don't think that counts.

I mean like Sinfield and stuff have been around for a while. But I wouldn't be caught dead watching The OC or something.
