I love pandora, it gives a nice varaiety (Usually, sometimes it'll stick me with 3 versions of a song, or 2 different bands that are the same thing, in a a lot)

There's my station if you feel like listening to it.

I only use one station and just seed everything i need on it. It goes through trends of what it plays so it's kind of like having a bunch of different stations anyway. Well at least it changes trends when I reload the page because I'm out of skips.

I still use my ipod just because we can listen to specific bands,  Pandora isn't the best thing for that.

I've tried Pandora out in the past, but I really enjoy having my own musical library I can play through.

I use it mainly to new artists/songs. Esp. since no one I know shares my rather metallic sensibilities in music, and the only radio station I get is a contemporary Christian song.

I just lost the only good radio station around here, didn't always get it though, got taken over by a christian station. Pandora is pretty much the last type of variation I can get. In comparison to my 6 gigs of music of course.

I agree with Akashayi on this subject, which is why I personally prefer Seeqpod, since it just plays the song you ask it to rather than try to pick other music you might like.
Hi.
I've been out for two years, so warn me if I act like I missed something obvious. ^^;

...oh, and to anyone who missed me, I'm open to hugs, kisses, and intense tearful cuddles.

It's not that the song(s) annoy me. It's simply not my taste in music.

Edit: that's not completely true, I do like some artists that sound is similar to those songs. They aren't just something I'm often interested in listening to.

One of my issues with Pandora, and it's not so much a problem at the moment since I've warmed up to it, was when it would play Dave Matthews Band... followed by Dave Matthews & Tim Reynold... followed by Dave Matthews.

Happens with Pearl Jam on my Pandora station constantly.

Dave mathews band is the bane of my existance. I'd rather take a cheese grater to my face than listen to that bullshit music... In my opinion that is.. ^^;

Are you sure you don't live on Long Island, because according to your description of radio stations, it sounds like here... with more Jazz music.
