Let's put it this way.

Western area is normally capped at level 3 due to some limitation in how they use magic. Seed of power normally at 4.

They sorta talked about Potency, and how even two level 3 wizards aren't necessarily as good as each other.

Look at Noventia. While she was Level 3, Suspiria's Potency was almost double hers (likewise Regina to Moss, and Dice to Noventia), so Level 3 to 4 is not just an incremental, but potentially exponential increase in power.

Unless I'm incredibly wrong concerning my English grammar Brion, I think in the fourth panel of the 9/18/17 strip (or 18/9/17 strip depending if you're not in the US), the word bubble should read "You SEEM down", as opposed to "You see down". Maybe she's looking down...?

Maytag never asks something without a reason. She must be offering to inherit it instead. Although I don't see how this will help, Eye knows literally nothing about how to deal with normal people.

Inherit the curse? Now that is interesting! Of course this would complicate things with Bern, but hey, Maytag cut her own eyes out, so anything is possible....
