Ladies and gentlemen. I noticed you were full with questions around there. so, if I might help sate your curiosity a bit, I'd be happy to indulge in an answering binge.

Just remember something very important. If my truths conflict with other truths, it probably means the others are wrong. Or that there was a subtle difference between the question here and there.

So, now that this pretentious universality has been exposed, well, bring it. If you wish.

Which makes me think... Giving an emo young hero such a following simply because he is overshadowed like that...
It's genius. Evil genius.

Makes sense. After all, magic items in general are just as far as I understood it distasteful for the knightly types, while portals specifically are said to steal your soul.

Besides, she does carries and tried to use a magic sword while searching for its other part. Swords made by the one that adopted her, and that he wanted the knights to use -which they refused-... And let's not forget that while belonging to the Lashoar knights require to forsake the use of magic, being Maytag's knight has... Other requirements. And even though they are not easy, I see Flipside as a tale of adaptation, of evolution, of compromises and discussion. (And mutilations, but that's besides the point) So, that kind of issues fits the theme the way I, humble recent reader see it.

What intrigues me the most actually, besides when will May be kidnapped, is some little words from Oransong, some chapters ago. I wonder if seeing Bernadette's adoptive father, we will get to finally understand what did he meant by saying the split rose was a children's fighting style.
(And if that's going to be a reason for evening the ground between her and Crest :P )

It's not as if they will be completely separated after all. Look at the chapter's title. Then look at chapter 26, page 23.

Quite the list here.

Personally, besides Flipside, there are:
Bouletcorp (in french, and more of a comic blog than an actual webcomic series really. But the guy has enough talent that it doesn't matters)
xkcd (when I remember)
The perry bible fellowship (when it does updates)
The book of Biff
Darths and Droids.

There are some finished ones in my repertory like DM of the Rings, Jailhouse Blues and Bob and George, but not all that much actually. Gotta start exploring the media a bit more. I'll monitor this thread anyway.

I still wonder if this Bern father news is real info or not a way to split them up doing by that Thin Man boy protege.

Then again, an entertainer talent show is just as good a trap. And even if it isn't, May doesn't quite realizes that having a wide broadcast is the ideal way to get spotted and captured by Melder. Bernadette's horseback departure basically means two things:
1) Maytag's doomed
2) Crest will have to protect her.

Well. Actually, the way things seem to be going, he'll most likely have to protect Suspiria once she'll have some problems/have expended all her spiritual essence.. But yeah, things will probably get pretty rough, pretty quick...

By the way, the narration works quite nicely, combined with flashbacks and all. It's not overpresent -some danger that always looms- and overall, it's nice. Because quite frankly, if maytag and bernadette discussing about this matter was done in front of us, it'd probably have taken half a chapter.

Until then, I guess all that remains is to count partly on a new generation of folks too.

... Bah, who am I fooling ? As if these youngsters could be reliable.
