Is Epicness a measurable virtue?

How about having a battle steed?  Is that something Awesomists aspire to and respect in one another?

What's the main iconic symbol of the religion?

Now seeing that Brion's forum will be taken care of by good people,
<_<  >_>  ...  What good people? ???

::)...sounds like a good choice sir...guess it's a reason to ask more questions in your truth thread, so that we get to hear from you...that or we could read your comic I suppose.  I believe I did read it a while ago, and it seemed to be pretty interesting.  I'll have to check in again.  Do you have any special plans for it?  What's your update schedule?

Thanks for playing the silly games with us!

phew...honestly, I would not like to have my throat slashed in the night by a scotsman.  I mean, they're so hairy, and then there's the kilt to deal with...

I'm just kidding man..I would love to visit your country, and all Scottish people I have met were wonderful, (though I couldn't understand a word they said, and they got all the girls because they were awesome and had awesome accents).  They were all blokes, obviously.  Never met a scottish girl I don't think.

Though I would imagine if I went to Scotland everyone would auto-hate me because I'm american.

I was inspired by this image:    It's very inspiring.

your mom?  (oh god that's not some kind of horrible thing to say to a Scotsman is it?  You're not going to hunt me down and slash my throat are you?)

Is a "Ronin" a type of swallow?

And in related news, I have been named a moderator.  This is the happiest day of my life.  I would like to thank Ian Murray Davidson.  Possibly some other people, but mainly Ian Murray D.

I edited my above post, in case you missed it....but anyway, yeah it was pretty funny at a few points.

I went to a like "open-mike" comedy night once inadvertently, and just because it's shitty Rhode Island or whatever, no one was laughing at all at some of these people.  (as far as I could tell, all of them were trying to make a career of it, and trying out jokes)  Some of the comics were really getting visibly upset about it, and having a hard time.  The truth was, though, most of them were funny.  It's just that on the first few jokes, you're just kind of listening, maybe smiling, at least on the inside.  On the first pretty funny joke, you kind of chuckle a bit and then see what they're gonna say next.  I could hear people around me chuckling as well..But the comics would get all flustered, and then it's a bit hard to get into that jovial mood again, as an audience member.  One guy actually stopped his show and basically told us to laugh haha.  Yeah that's gonna work.

I think they were getting heckled too by people up front, but being in the back I could only hear the guy with the mike, so if they addressed the heckler with anything but a horrible and funny insult, that was annoying.

But the guys who got people rolling were the ones who just kept on trucking through their act, without waiting to see what people thought of their jokes. (or maybe the ones who brought the most friends?)

But honestly, it was at a sports bar during March madness (last year).  I was there hoping to watch the game.  I wonder if other people were trying to do the same.

I could do Free Talk, if you already have someone for Flipside Discussion. (which is probably for the best, it can get busy and heated in there at times, and not making a huge time commitment would be a good thing)

Yeah Free Talk seems good.  And sorry about being unclear there. :-[

That was pretty awesome guy.  Way better than the last one.  I still say you should carry the jokes further.  Like, after you get the groan, make it one step worse.  But that's just me.  I get a kick out of people being offended.  But I dunno, maybe your mom's in the audience or something...

but anyway, that was really good.  you sounded a bit nervous, but I feel like you sold your jokes a lot more and a lot better on this one.  Anyhoo, you said you were tired last time, so perhaps that wasn't a good representation.

Sorry Raz, nice try.  That one's even cuter.  Way cuter actually.  Before I just thought you were cute, but now I'm starting to fall in love with you.

(haha just trying to pile on and make you blush...it's true though!)  I like the glasses btw, in case you ever can't find your contacts.

edit: pay no attention to me *gets out of the way for Chag*  ;D  (sorry guys, I forgot!)

Smiles clearly takes the cute cake though - No contest!  :D

I'm telling you there was a picture of charles in a toga somewhere on the old forum...drinking a pint like a Greek God (Greek Gods love beer).

akasha...I think that's a pretty good "best of" from old forum selections. :)

I'm going to heartily agree with Sieck that Life of Brian is The Best MP film.  I could easily see a case being made for Meaning of Life or Holy Grail, though I would still disagree.  I don't think I know what the other one is...

I just love the combination of history, theology, ridiculous humor, and scathing satire.  Holy Grail's got the period aspect, but doesn't have christianity as its main target.

The way they use the character of Brian too just speaks volumes of truth about all kinds of shit.  But mostly I like it for the silly lines.  "I've been here five years, they only turned me right-side-up last week!"

"spare a talent for an ex-leper sir?"  bwahahahaha!

Quote
X-leper Alms for an ex-leper. Bloody donkey owners. All the same aren't they.
Never have any change. Oh, here's a touch.
--------[Brian and his mum walk along the street.]
Spare a talent for an old ex-leper.
MC   Buzz off.
X-leper [Still following] Spare a talent for an old ex-leper.
MC   A talent? That's more than he earns in a month.
X-leper Half a talent then.
MC   Now go away.
X-leper Come on, bignose. Let's haggle.
Brian   What?
X-leper All right. Cut the haggling . Say you open at one sheckle, I start
at two thousand, we close about eighteen hundred.
Brian   No.
X-leper Seventeen-fifty?
MC   Go away.
X-leper Seventeen-fourty.
MC   Look. Will you leave him alone.
X-leper All right... two sheckles. Just two. Isn't this fun, eh?
MC   Look. He's not giving you any money, so piss off.
X-leper All right, sir. My final offer: Half a sheckle for an old ex-leper.
Brian   Did you say EX-leper?
X-leper That's right, sir. 16 years behind the bell, and proud of it, sir.
Brian   Well what happened?
X-leper Oh, cured sir.
Brian   Cured?
X-leper Yes, a bloody miracle sir, God bless you.
Brian   Well who cured you?
X-leper Jesus did, sir. I was hopping along, minding my own business. All of
a sudden, up he comes, cures me. One minute I'm a leper with a trade,
next minute my livlehood's gone, not so much as a buy your leave...
   You're cured, mate. Bloody do-gooder.
Brian   Well why don't you go and tell him that you want to be a leper again.
X-leper Ah, I could do that, sir. Yeah, yeah. I could do that I suppose. What
I was thinking was I was going to ask him if he could make me a bit
lame in one leg during the middle of the week. Y'know, something
beggable, but not leprosy, which is a pain in the arse to be blunt,
   excuse my french sir, but...
MC   Brian. Come and clean your room out.
Brian   There you are.
X-leper Thank you, sir, thank... Half a dinari for me bloody life story?
Brian   There's no pleasing some people.
X-leper That's just what Jesus said, sir.

It's not a first come first served thing, just tell me which area or areas you would prefer, and I'll pick out whoever I feel is the best candidate.

that's a good way to do it.  That or cage matches.  I will just restate then that I can be flexible, though I wouldn't really want Debate, roleplay, or Art areas, just because I don't usually read them.  But my name is already under "Unspecified", so I guess that's all set. :)

Um Charles I believe I was the first to go for "Flipside Discussion"?  That is still my first choice.  And I believe the Admiral opted for "Maytag's Playhouse", which is...um, Games, Free Talk, and some other stuff I can't think of right now.

Yay blue!

I agree about blue being strong but I don't think Faeries really feels like a blue deck.  Well it's not a straight-up control deck anyway.  Those seem rare nowadays anyway, which is kind of cool.  It's not like there are 3 well-defined play styles that everyone plays anymore.  It's always a blend of different strategies, which makes for a more interesting game i...think?  But I don't play competitively, I just read forum threads about it and have a friend who does pretty well...I could be way off here

truthfully though, faeries seemed to build itself sorta.  It's just got a few faeries which are obviously the best ones, then throw in Bitterblossom and go.  Never played it, but it doesn't seem like the most poetic deck in the world...I used to be very anti-aggro but lately I respect a nice red beats deck...there's more careful design and playtime decision-making in them than it seems at first glance.  now Tron...some forms of tron I've seen are very nice decks imo.  Beautiful, carefully designed, and tough as shit to play.  (sorry I keep editing this) The one I saw only ran like 3 threats though and didn't steal anything.  It blew up the world every few turns if needed though, and took extra turns.  ;D good fun in my book!

what did you do in the military sir?
Do you think MTG players are assholes?

Charles, would you take one of us around if we visited you?

(mainly to bars?  ;D)

My wife and I have always wanted to visit, sometimes we live in Taiwan, which is just a short (and relatively inexpensive) hop over.  Can we look you up?

Do people in Australia say "down under"?

on a side note, I'm still surprised that Oddball keeps making me LOL.

Can I moderate LordKaT's Brain?
You've proven that you cannot.

I also would help out, but I'm wondering what's entailed?  ...I guess I'd go for Flipside Discussion, but whatever helps.

Does being completely clueless about what a moderator has to do disqualify you tho?

just a possibility: Bern may also have cheated?  That's why she's relieved?

i rather doubt it, but just wanted to throw it out there.

..love how Glyph called Suspiria an idiot..apparently she hasn't learned much or matured much after Kin's death.  You'd think she'd be more careful with her essence.  But also, I wonder if all the Phalanx are a bunch of juvenile peeping toms and spoiled brats.

yeah I can't wait to see what Bern is going to do here, although I think she's just going to give Nessy a good scare.  Not that that will do much - after a night's rest she can still destroy Bern at will as long as she doesn't deplete herself again.

I have to make time at home to post pictures.  Too many sites are blocked at my workplace.  I also can't see charles and sieck from here.  I just hope charles is in a toga, that's all I'll say.

totally kidding btw, before people start wondering if I'm a girl or gay.  not that you shouldn't post your beer-chugging toga picture though, just on basic principles of awesomeness.
