Free Talk / Re: The 'What Did You Accomplish Today?' Thread

I finished my fall semester at college earlier today, so I have three weeks of relative relaxation to look forward to before I head back there.

Nice.  Here's another sexy Christmas photo:

Ah, it's been too long since I've been here, and I've seen so much anime.  I've finished Noir, as well as Scrapped Princess (both very good series, but the latter is more entertaining) and I'm most of the way through Excel Saga (which I'll try to finish over my winter break).  I'm currenly watching the first season of Yu Yu Hakusho, which is a fun series.  Not great, but nice drama at certain points.

The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya by Naragu Tanigawa (which makes four Haruhi novels this year, but it's a good series  :)!).

OK, it's been a few months, and I've seen a few movies since then.

1.  Scott Pilgrim vs. The World:  Very good, although I don't agree that Scott deserves his ending.

2.  The Social Network:  Well-made, but it's very difficult to care for the characters, or to feel emotionally-attached to the story.  It's a movie I could think deeply about, but I don't feel a great deal for it.  Still, a good movie worth checking out.

3.  Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1:  Also well-made, but rather simple and straightforward upon further reflection.  I enjoyed it very much in the moment, but it didn't stick with me after I left the theater.  It also didn't feel like a Harry Potter film, but rather a fantastical thriller.

Anyone else see any movies?

Is that where SNL got the idea for Laser Cats, or is it the other way around (and someone was inspired by that to make this)?

That's a tough call, but I always lean toward boobs, mainly for the nipples.  Because other than that, they're not much different from each other -- similar shape, similar feel sometimes, and similar cleavage.  Here's a nice pair, just for the heck of it:

Saw Inception not too long ago, and I agree with a review I read that the film looked very good but was emotionally lacking at points.  Excellent editing and action sequences, though.

Very interesting flame shapes, especially the last one.

Christina Aguilera:  Keeps Gettin' Better -- A Decade of Hits  ;D.  It's a great CD compilation.

Those girls look good, but are a bit too thin for my tastes.

Wearing a Purdue t-shirt and jean shorts.

Good Idea:  Finding out it's only water
Bad Idea:  Finding out it's only hydrochloric acid

I saw Toy Story 3 not too long ago, and I liked it a lot (especially the bittersweet ending  :)).  It's not quite as good as the first two, but it's still much better than most movies in theaters now -- which tells you a lot about the studio's consistency.

Good, you haven't started yet.  I'm in  :).  I didn't post earlier because I didn't think this thread was active.

I, too, would like to see a group portrait of the Flipside forumites.  Good luck with it, CDSM!

Now, as promised, here is a photo of me and Smiles at Anime Central 2010:

CDSM, you can feel free to use this as a reference for your drawing.

Yeah, poor Crest  :(.  Hopefully he becomes more powerful someday, and thereby becomes more confident in himself.

Those are damn realistic dolls, if that's the case.

Since we're still in a nostalgic mood, here's a photo with me in it, from the same year and same meetup (I'm on the far right) :).

Splendid idea, Oddball, and I look forward to seeing all of the forthcoming photo recreations (and kudos to you, charles, for the quick recreation of the handcuffs photo).  In the meantime, jesters are always welcome here, right  ;D?

Here are a couple more photo duplication ideas, if you are open to them (or you can just enjoy the photos  ;D) :

I thought that Iron Man 2 was pretty good, although I didn't really like Justin Hammer.  I actually saw it late last month, but forgot to post.

Well, Tales from the Crypt is an oldie but goodie  ;D.  And most of Dream On (also an oldie) was pretty good.  I haven't seen any of the HBO shows from the past decade, but I might check out Band of Brothers one of these days.

Also, Dead Like Me is a Showtime series.

Well, I hope you fall asleep soon in my pants.  But not while I'm wearing them in my pants.  Because that  would be wrong in my pants.
