He's not looking at me like he wants to eat me, look more carefully... that's intimidation in his face, see?

Okay, everyone's been asking for a pic of me (right?) so finally, here you are, now you can all be happy!

This is me just hanging out in my room:

This is me with my ex-girlfriend:

This is me and my dad:

If I look a little different in these pictures from my bio page, well... that's probably the sunglasses.  If I take them off, this is how I really look.

(shakes head in shame at Ronin's post)
Seriously.

...isn't it Wednesday yet?  No?  Bah.  Feels like Wednesday.
It just occurred to me that Bern's black suit is all black.  Uh... solid black.  Have you ever considered adding some mild tinting to indicate mass with it?  I'm not sure how it would look, but it'd be interesting to try anyway.
(I notice it and am reminded of how 'the other comic' that I read has a few characters who are or are wearing black, and that the artist has complained about his markers dying because of it.  Someone pointed out that he's really wasting his markers because even black has its definitions.  It's not quite the case here, as you are using a digital program, and your shading is good, but I wanted to mention it anyway.)

Also, Bern is pretty awesome.

Well, I'm not wasting any markers.  But yes, of course added shading would of course be better.  However, recently I've mainly been relying on cross-hatching for shading, and using tones just for certain panels.  It's quicker and I also think it looks good in a more basic way.  But yes, it's something to consider.

Yep, it sure was!

That's okay, I forgive you... if you draw 3 naked pictures of Maytag.

Why? if Bern knew about it all this time why bother dredge through the archives.

Because it makes my traffic go up...?

I wish you would've, too!  Where've you been, the contest has been open since October.

Well, hey, you won't get a prize, but don't let that stop you from contributing anyway!  We all love art around here. ^^

Relax, I was kidding.  But it may still come out in 2010, and it will have nothing to do with Admiral... it depends on my financial situation.

Or he could, you know, just do one without Maytag when someone requests it, which would probably be rare.  It doesn't make sense to say "I won't do it once, but I'll do it thirty times."

Yes, it's a totally arbitrary rule, but I like the idea that it's Maytag's corner so you can't get rid of her, and even if you ask for her to not be there, she will just ignore it.

Pozf, no it isn't, because the argument could be made that he told us to expect it early.

Either way, I see no need to ever buy the book.  I look at the comic online, and thus help generate ad revenue for Brion.  I do my part.

Ok, then I take it back.  Because of you, it'll be 2010.  Happy, now?

@Brion: page 155 of Book 3 advertised Book 4 as due out in 2010.  Has that date moved forward thanks to a quicker than expected turn-out of pages?

I just said 2010 to give myself breathing room.  If it comes out earlier than expected, no one will complain.  If I has said 2009 and it turned out to be 2010, people would complain.  Right now it's looking like it will come out late this year, or early next.  Even after chapter 4 is finished, I won't be able to start printing it until after conventions season anyway.

It's not a first come first served thing, just tell me which area or areas you would prefer, and I'll pick out whoever I feel is the best candidate.

that's a good way to do it.  That or cage matches.  I will just restate then that I can be flexible, though I wouldn't really want Debate, roleplay, or Art areas, just because I don't usually read them.  But my name is already under "Unspecified", so I guess that's all set. :)

Of the remaining areas, which would you like?

Oh, I agree!  But online scans are a nice way to try something out before you buy it.  Don't you hate it when you buy a book and think to yourself "I wish I could've read this before I bought it, I would've realized it sucked?"

I've read all of Bleach and Hunter x Hunter online, but I still plan to buy the books as they come out.  Same with Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, but apparently it's been stopped for legal reasons.  And they've already said they're never translating the earlier stories.

By the way, if you see some characters pop in my comic soon who bear a strong resemblance to Jojo's Bizarre Adventure character designs, you'll know why!

Okay, I've decided to go with the "You are all my food" concept for my first Flipside T-Shirt.  Here are some designs I whipped up:

So, opinions?  Which ones of these do you like the best, which the least?  Which would you be more likely to consider wearing, which would you buy?

Yes.  Turns out that the movie was adapted from the manga.  The manga has a different feel and seems a bit more fleshed out than the movie... so far I'm still on the first volume, though.  It's being published by Dark Horse.  Might be hard to find if you don't order it through their website.

If you want to check it out online, here's a website that has some scans you can sample:

I'm a big megaten fan too, Akashayi.  Do you mean the beta of online version?  I've dabbled a little with that, haven't had much time to try it but it seems really cool!

I'm trying to read Y The Last Man right now, but having some trouble getting into it.  I've also started reading the Oldboy manga, which turns out to be very good.  I didn't realize it came out before the movie.

Also, lately I've been reading a lot of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure online, all the stuff they didn't release over here.  It's ridiculous, but I find it to be very addicting!  It's also a very manly comic. ^^

Basically, all you really have to do is keep an eye on your section of the forum, delete spam if it pops up, and handle any problems that may arise by moving unwanted posts to the Graveyard.  You probably won't be banning anybody, except for maybe spammers.

It was extremely rare for us to need to ban anyone from the old forum, except spammers.  There were a couple of people who got mad that I deleted some of there posts and left, but that's a different story.

Maytag will be there no matter what, since it is still her "corner."  Sorry!  Maybe I'll pick a coming month to be a month of answers without Maytag present.
