This latest strip is so true to life! Try to fix society or even stand up to it's abuses and you'll end up running afoul of the law. The only time you are allowed to break the law is when you are the law. And the law is only in place to perpetuate the abuses of society.

Thank you for such an entertaining storyline lately.
Of course I am not thrilled about what happened to Maytag back in November.
But I really like how this conversation that Bernadette is having with the crazy people of this town really cuts to the key problems with Libertarianism (which intentionally by the author, or not, the characters that live here in this crazy town bare stark similarities to the most extreme version of that philosophy).
What, exactly, is too much freedom?
Why should we try take care of others when they don't want to take care of themselves?
Good stuff. :)

Brion, your author appeal is showing! :P

Actually, I feel like this might be good for Maytag. Her over-reliance on the suit is her primary weakness, and if she can somehow manage to be assertive without it, it will be an amazing boon for her in the long run. :)

They've done it now! Maytag is only more funny and more naughty when she's half dressed but still has her hat on!

I hope your right. As I said, I'm not a huge fan of the drama, but if it leads to a lesbian orgy, I can always get on board.

That was kind of anticlimactic.
Now what? they're just going to sleep in different places until Bernedette goes back to Maytag?
I don't usually like drama, but that sounds kinda... boring. :/

yeah but it's all Bern's fault. Maytag already said she would be into it. Now Bern is finding out how difficult it (fidelity) can be.

True that! :D

I feel really bad for Crest in the latest comic. If I was in his position I would feel like I needed to get Suspira to talk to me about what was going on (at the very least). But we all know that is like walking in to a minefield. Suspira is just so... vulnerable emotionally. But... I feel like that doesn't give her the right to take advantage of Crest. And that's what I think forcing him to sleep with her is. She doesn't seem to have any idea about what doing that would do to Crest, nor does she care.  It would psychologically torque me out and hormonally mess me up to be that physically close to a woman night after night but not fuck her and not know where I stood with her, and I feel like Crest is going to have to stand up to her if they are ever going to be together or even remain friends. I think what she is doing to him is unbelievably passive-aggressive and selfish. Especially if she doesn't even tell him what is going on.

A beautiful girl forces you into the bed with her and you have to lie perfectly still and can't do anything with her.
Shouldn't that be enough?

Suspiria must trust Crest quite a bit to ask him to stay with her, but poor Crest is too nervous to enjoy the fact that she needs him.

When will he learn to relax around women. /sigh

Some of us have overactive hormones that would make it an utter agony.

New strip. Suspira is putting moves on Crest. But it's not nearly sexy with the new haircut. Actually it's kind of scary and awkward. Don't you hate how women always ask men to do stuff like this and then get pissed if we get a boner?
Edit: Well to be fair, most sensible women tend to stop getting pissed about the boners-in-the-supposed-purely-platonic-shared-bed scenarios around college age, but until they reach that level of maturity, isn't it hell?

I don't think she's been hitting on Crest becuase she's trying to replace anyone. I think she's been hitting on Crest becuase she realizes she needs to heal and to grow up, and she needs help support when she's doing it.

Kin and Crest have different personalities.

Bernadette won't like the portal idea, though.

i find it hard to believe that one such as bernadette, who dosen't trust magic would have accepted the ring idea so easily without exploring all other alternatives first, it just seems a lil ooc to me.
You forget, magic just healed Maytag's arm. Bernadette was uncomfortable about the whole arm issue, but you could tell she preferred a whole Maytag to a partial Maytag. If, in the light of those events, Bernadette became a little more open-minded about magic use, I would call it character development rather then out of character, but that's just me.  ;)

Is it wrong that I am hoping that Bernedette and Maytag break up? Or at least get in a fight? Not to piss off others that ship them, but I don't.  :-\

Oh boy. this place is so much deader then it used to be. In the good old days, we had tons of people on this forum. Now not so much. :(

I am really tired right now. I need to get more sleep.

Well, in my home town of Portland, Oregon, they are in the back of my city's free paper, the Portland Mercury.
http://www.portlandmercury.com/
But other then that, I honestly don't know. I was always kind of confused by them becuase it too me forever to find out what they were selling in them. It's like, "We're selling socks, so here's a picture of a girl's bare ass!"
Not that I hate bare asses, I just feel sometimes that the sex is dialed up to such a degree that the products featured in them get shoved to the wayside. On the other hand, like you said, probably a fair amount of people support their stores just so they can see more girly pictures.  :P

pretty.

You can see her boobies in the mirror! mmm... mirror boobies!  :D

I love how happy Crest was to have his ass kicked. It makes me think he is learning important things and getting good exercise. It's also cool with the poster. I wonder though. Maytag said she wanted to distance herself from her career as a jester. I hope she doesn't resent the implications of Crest trying to get her to get back into it. Especially because it seems like such a great opportunity.

Yeah, swindling rich suckers might be the best way to make money, but how fun would it be to watch?
This way, May gets to meet a handsome stranger and gets some character development. Watching her con fat tourists all day might be practical and effective or advance the plot, but it would probably be excruciating to read about.

You have to see this in the context of the story. It's more dramatic this way. And notice how May learning how to be a better poker player from this fellow sort-of mirrors Crest's training to become a better sword fighter? That's probably on purpose.
