14# Game Crashes After First Intro Video
Verify the integrity of the game files.

It may all be happening due to a dll file missing, you can refer to the tutorial below to fix it, exact same problem was with Fallout 3.
* Download d3d9.dll.
* Once its done downloading, drag/drop in to your Fallout New Vegas folder.
* My Games/ Fallout New Vegas/
* Start the game and it should work!
If the game still doesn’t work after placing the dll file, you can refer to the steps below.
* Open “fallout.ini” or fallout_default.ini” and
* Press “Ctrl+F” and type in: SMainMenuMovieIntro=
* Delete: SMainMenuMovieIntro= , SIntroSequence=, sIntroMovie=Fallout INTRO Vsk.bik
* Save and Exit “fallout.ini” or “fallout_default.ini”.
* Go to “data” in your fallout new vegas folder, then videos.
* Find “Fallout INTRO Vsk.bik”, delete and back it up somewhere.
* Play Fallout New Vegas.
You can follow a video walkthrough on how you can do that here with further tips to resolve these issues.
Note. This was for Fallout 3, but works for Fallout New Vegas also, same game engine.

That's exactly why it is stupid, because then it just becomes another source based FPS.
That's also why it's interesting though because it's changes game play drastically, I can see not being able to see over the walls then getting raped by parasites as you turn a corner.

There are actually mods out there to make it a First person shooter instead of a third. Which is both interesting and stupid.

1. Have no taste
2. Are jealous of Dave and Giz's ability to draw.
3. Are hung up about Zii and are like "OMG Zii is teh devel!!!!!!11111!!!"
It's the 3rd one that really pisses me off, lately the Menage a 3's forums are filled with fans that have been derail threads all week with their whining about Zii being "too mean" and being a "Karma Houdini" even though the last thread was by far the coolest thing she's ever done. No matter that the housewife in the story was in a crappy marriage and Zii helped her get the courage to get out of it, no matter it was fucking AWESOME and we all want to do horrible things to internet trolls becuase they get away with everything, because Zii is female, she can't be a little roguish and lovable at the same time. It bugs me a lot.Oh well.
Counter-trolling is still trolling, she's actually the worse in terms in trolldem because she took it to the next level, real life.
