Well, she said "Hm...?" in panel three. I thought it was well done. ;)

Bern's lines were so inspiring and heartfelt on page 17! :D

Why she's not getting operated on...................or is she?  :'(

All things Sorcery bother Bern.

And it seems Ms. Bureaucrat isn't a total tool after all.
Living and working where she does, she's probably never met anyone with such an aversion to all things magical. That would make it hard for her to see it from Bern's perspective. Combine that with an all-business attitude, and her demeanor kind of makes sense.

You hear that Brion? Maybe you should put extra magical incentives on the Flipside facebook page.

..I liked it not for updates (I use rss feeds for that) but simply on the principle that I actually like Flipside.

and about Crest... yeah, you guys are totally right.

I used to hit "Like" on Facebook for anything I enjoyed. Then I realized that it was pointless unless I planned on going back to that page. I don't even know half the things Facebook says I like, because the things I like give me more to do than their pages on Facebook do. For instance, I am a big fan of Snafu Comics, so I Liked their fan page on Facebook. But I don't bother going to it anymore, because there's more to do by actually going to the comics themselves. Brion updates the Flipside Facebook page, so there's a point to Liking it. If the page just sat there doing nothing, I would probably Unlike it, ignore it, or not have Liked it in the first place. Not using the Facebook page for something doesn't mean you like the real thing any less.

That's why, these days, if I decide I love the cold side of the pillow at night, and I think my Facebook friends would like to know, I don't search for the Likable page "Cold Side of the Pillow". I just write, "I enjoy the cold side of the pillow. It's so lovely and comfy. Screw all you cold side haters!"

Wait, WHAT? What's with all the yaoi talk on all the comic threads I'm frequenting these last few days? GAH!

But yeah, Crest would totally be on bottom, for the exact reason Oddball mentioned. What? It's not like I've thought about it before. ::)

Also, considering only 234 people, myself included, "Like" the Flipside Facebook page, it's not all that surprising you don't have many friends who subscribe to it. Considering Flipside updates fairly predictably, it's not needed to know when a new page is out. I subscribe for things like notifications of the DnD Comic updates, voting incentive changes, and the occasional unrelated message from the author.

After seeing that giant, floating, semi-cylindrical block on page 10, is anyone else reminded of those blue rectangular blocks from the old Mario games? I have this feeling that as soon as our heroes walk under it, it's going to come crashing down in an attempt to skoosh them!

does this mean May's new outfit will be a tanooki suit?

We can hope. :)

Clouds shaped to look like rocks? Ok. I can live with that, but GREEN clouds shaped to look like rocks? That can't possibly be healthy.
They're mint scented. That's why.

I like that there are so many things in the last panel of page 7 that seem to say "up." The stone pillars on the platform point skyward, as do the buildings, two of which are literally arrows pointing up.
