Title: April Fools
Post by: akashayi on April 01, 2010, 02:33:09 pm
And I announce unixkcd as the winner of best april fools page.
http://www.xkcd.com/

I've been at this for an hour and I'm still finding new easter eggs in it. ./unixypose

Google's april fools joke was kind of 'meh' this year as compared to the last few.

and then this: http://tiny.cc/rmzo2

Guys find anything else particularly amusing on the nets today?

Questionable content's "Magical Love Gentlemen" joke was pretty amusing.

They aren't the best but I'll be damned if I don't want a Deckard Cain Snuggie X-Trene Gamer Blanket and Cursed body pillow

"You have a friend in meat"

And for anybody who plays League of Legends knows the April Fools they pulled, but to sum it up, a joke Character  Urf  (http://www.leagueoflegends.com/board/attachment.php?attachmentid=22623&d=1270060150)was announced to be released *last year he was too but this time for srs* but they instead released a skin of him for another character seen  here (http://www.leagueoflegends.com/board/attachment.php?attachmentid=22734&d=1270135305)

I agree with the XKCD thing, the first thing I did was make me a sandwich, then sudo make me a sandwich (also if you click on source code, go to the wiki tab, then command it has a bunch of them.)

I just read the source code. I'm too stupid to work it out the traditional way, so I just cheated. What do you want from me?

and I'm still finding new easter eggs without cheating :P

this thing is thick with them, and I suspect more are being added in real time.

But me and unix (and text adventures... and xkcd) we go way, way back. it's not a matter of intelligence persay.

OMG!  XKCD and I have the same humor (i.e. we listened to the same crappy 80's songs)

me: "GO"
xkcd: go where?
me: "GO WEST FOR PEACE MAN"
*fun begins after that*
