I have lost a few moderators lately, so there are a few sections that need new moderators. Mainly the art den and the politics forums. Also, I am looking for someone to be an anti-spam moderator, they would have moderation powers over all of the areas, and their duty would just be to delete spam posts, and report the name of the spammer to me. They wouldn't be doing anything else but deleting spam. Of course, other moderators are encouraged to do the same thing if they happen to catch it first, but for the spam moderator I am looking for someone who spends a lot of time on the forum.
Remember that moderators have guidelines as well, and these are posted in the "Talk to the Moderators" forum. (I probably need to go over that and update it a bit.) Generally, I prefer that this board is *not* heavily moderated, I like for people to have the freedom to talk about what they want to talk about, and joke around without having to fear "the man" breathing down their back. So being a moderator is a pretty easy job, but at the same time it is not a powerful job. So if you just want to do because you are a control freak, it is the wrong job for you. However, the politics forum does require more strict moderation.
I also like to have a record of every post made on the forum, so it is not allowed to delete any posts, with the very notable exception of obvious spam. Objectionable / disruptive posts can simply be moved to the graveyard.
If you are interested, please post on this thread! People who have been here longer are more likely to be chosen, but if you present yourself well as an intelligent and responsible individual, even a new person may be picked. Also, if the current moderators are looking to take on additional areas, that would be great.

If you had an opening for a technican (for installing updates and other technical stuff like that) I would apply. But as a moderator, I fear I am not regularly enough here.

As I said the first time around I'd be willing to help anywhere you might need it. Though to be perfectly honest I do tend to keep a short leash when I admin things.
Edit: or maybe it's just all the assholes seem to pop out whenever I'm doing any sort of moderation... hard to tell sometimes.

Yeah, Artist's Den needs someone with some artistic background and CDSM seems to fit that best. I'm pretty sure we've seen both visual and written art from him.
For spam mod you probably can't go past Pozf for one of them. I'm not sure if anyone spends more time on the forums than him. Put in Oddball as a second spam hunter and that should cover it.
Are you after someone for the Flipside Discussion area or just spam hunters to keep it inline?

Aye Charles is good for the debates...........we go out of line and a drunken Aussie throws a empty beer bottle at our heads, sort of reminds me one of my instructors at College/Uni when I was doing my engineering courses :-\

I guess I probably should have someone for this section besides just me and a spam hunter. It's nice to have extra help.

I'd be up for picking up an extra section, like this one or helping out extra with whatever. Pop Culture is quiet and I'm always on.

Okay! I have decided to make Akasha the moderator for the comic discussion forum, CrystalDragon the moderator for the art forum, and Oddball gets the spam warrior job! That should about do it, for now!

Dont worry folks I have a plan to route out any spam, I shall go up to a post and ask it "Are you spam?" if it says "Yes" it wont go up :P just joking thanks for the post Brion and will take it seriously.
