Yes. I play in about 2-3 tournements a week, and the last 5 months I've been having a (as yet unsuccessful) campaign to get on the Pro Tour/get pro points.

When I was 12 or so I often went to the Calfornia Beach Boardwalk in my home town of Santa Cruz, but I havent been to one sense.

I consiter myself an okay player, at least locally. I can always get better, but I'm usually in one of the top five most skilled people in any local tournement I enter in.

Color preference?
What type of tournies do you mostly play (type I, II, Extended 1.5)

I like red and white. Very rarely do I play a deck that is neither of those 2 colours.
The formats I like to play most are draft, sealed, Type 2, Extended, Elder Dragon Highlander and Pack wars.

Pack wars? Is that a booster Draft... or I'm assuming that's what draft is... What are Pack wars?

Pack wars are kinda like sealed deck but with only one pack.
You take your pack, open it, and shuffle in 3 of each basic land without looking at any of the cards.
Then you play a 2 out of 3 match with it. It's a cute, fun little limited format to play when you only have a few packs liying around. It's great when you are opening tournement winnings and have a little extra time with your freinds. ;)

I don't play blue too much because I'm sick of it and it's not really my style. I like drawing cards but that's about it. I also am tired of it consitantly being the most powerful colour... but WOTC has tried to nerf it in the past and failed terribly. ARRRGH! >:(

How was Removing counterspell a *failed* nerf >.> a was a HUGE blow for blue... also I don't really buy cards anymore so I'm not really sure what their doing anymore... though I am going to buy a Nicol Bolas Planeswalker card.... cause hes Nicol Fucking Bolas.

Well.... The thing is that no matter what they do they end up doing something else that has the opposet effect and is twice as powerful. Yes, they took away counterspell. But that was like 4 years ago. In the meantime they have created a deck called "fearies" that is almost universally blue and does things like make 1/1 flying, flash (-can be cast anytime you could play an instant) creatures that counter spells and and a two mana enchantment that creates 1/1 flyers every turn. Before that, they had a deck called "teachings" that utilized intstant speed search and "Tefri, Mage of Zelfir" (- 2UUU, 3/4, flash, all your creatures in your hand and libarary have flash, other players cannot play spells when they can't play sorceries) and counter magic to lock your opponent out of the game. Before that their was a deck called "Blue Tron" that created tons of mana with Urza's Mine, Tower and Power Plant to generate tons of mana and steel everything you get into play, also about the same time was MUC witch had tons of counters, stealing and a 2/4 flying legend that created an army of flying tokens... and the list goes on... :(

There are always going to be broken combo's hell right now I'm pretty sure there is a combo to go ininite with in type two it uses Saffi (sp?) and some zombie i think.

combo actually is not that popular right now. It WOTC has been very careful lately. But Fae (counterspell) decks have been the best deck for the last 2 years. Blue is not dead my freind. Not by a long shot. :'(

I agree about blue being strong but I don't think Faeries really feels like a blue deck. Well it's not a straight-up control deck anyway. Those seem rare nowadays anyway, which is kind of cool. It's not like there are 3 well-defined play styles that everyone plays anymore. It's always a blend of different strategies, which makes for a more interesting game i...think? truthfully though, faeries seemed to build itself sorta. It's just got a few faeries which are obviously the best ones, then throw in Bitterblossom and go. Never played it, but it doesn't seem like the most poetic deck in the world...I used to be very anti-aggro but lately I respect a nice red beats deck...there's more careful design and playtime decision-making in them than it seems at first glance. now Tron...some forms of tron I've seen are very nice decks imo. Beautiful, carefully designed, and tough as shit to play. (sorry I keep editing this) The one I saw only ran like 3 threats though and didn't steal anything. It blew up the world every few turns if needed though, and took extra turns. ;D good fun in my book!

In What The **** Do We Know, they showed that the field of physics is changing at an alarming rate and what was taken for granted is being questioned in the last few years. Hard to tell what could be possible in 100 years. It won't be affordable, however. ::)

What, you don't think Canada qualifies as another country? Well my mother lives there so, not really, I don't know, in my memory it's basically the same execpt people there are politer and they treat their Native Americans (Canadians? ???) better and with more respect.
What's your favorite book/serie? Tough one! I think I like the Kushiel's Legacy series, becuase they are really sexy and heartfelt, but it changes. I tend to like what I'm reading! :)

But I am a Timmy Spike and if I play control, it's almost always becuase I want to smash with ginormas unstoppable creatures or game breaking uber-sorceries. :) The thing I dislike most about Fae is the fact that Wotc seemingly just put all the most powerful cards in one tribe. That kind of liner design kind of torpedos creativity IMO. Now a question for you, how do you like my new "reply colour"? [/b]

Well, I always liked those "persocom" things in the Chobits Anime except mine wouldn't be flawed due to a limited processing capacity like most of them in the anime or be childlike and borderline retarded like Chi or have her off switch frustratingly located in her vagina. ::)
Also, she'd be able to compose super-cool Japanise pop music like that show's themsong. And she'd have to look cute in a maid outfit! :D
But mostly really I like the name "Persocom," it has so much less baggage then "sex robot"! :D

is progenitus way too powerful? No. It is easy to remove with mass removal like wrath of god or evacution or damnation or hallowed burial. It costs ten mana. It is easy to counter something that costs that much. The card is mostly a multiplayer/casual card beucause of the extream difficulty to cast it, and if your multiplayer group can't muster up a single counterspell or wog effect before you kill them with it, they desearve to lose.
especially since if you use fist of all suns to summon him for WUBRG rather then WWUUBBRRGG.
Yes this helps, but not as much as you might think. Cards like fist of suns and dramatic entrence can tellagraph your intentions to a multiplayer group, and if you get overzelous and start casting bombs like Progenitious before everyone is ready, the table will liably gang up and kill you for it. Rember he can only block one creature each combat and zero if you attack with him.
what is your favorite block of MTG?
I like Tempest, becuase in my opinion that's when the game started to get good. The spike in me must mention Mirroden, becuase more tournment cards came out of that then most other sets in recent memory. I really Kamigawa block too, becuase it was very fun to draft, but I can deal with most any set if it works well in limited.
have you read any of the books? Brother's War. It was good. But most other magic novels end up sucking.

Depends, the licencing is very expensive for the production companies that bring anime to our shores, so I would ike to support them if I could, but then again, information should be aviable to those who seek it and if you can get it for free, you can get it for free. :-\

I want to. Espeshally when I see a bunch of teenage fangirls in cosplay leaving them. Mmmmmmm... teenage fangirls. :P But, well, they're expensive and I don't really have anyone to go with. Mostly my anime hobby has kind of lapsed of recently mostly becuase Magic the Gathering is already more expensive then crack addiction and anime costs more then that. But in theory I think they are totes awsome.
