Title: Silly Nillys Maytag
Post by: nilinet on April 05, 2009, 04:54:33 pm

Oh no! I've cloned Maytag! I think I'm starting to go overboard with this. EDIT* The old Maytag sprouted an arm holding a hat as of 4/6

I used this pic (http://www.flipsidecomics.com/comic/misc/fsSStitl.html) as reference.

Bern wants a place in this as well.. and god knows who else might make and appearance? This is why I never finish my art XD
This might turn into a wallpaper.

Super CUTE!  :-[

Did you use a program?

Thank you!  :-*

I sketched it from my Wacom Tablet into Adobe Photoshop. Then I used the pen tool for the lines. (I really should free-hand. The lines look much prettier that way!) I haven't gone over the face yet, so those lines are still sketchy.

I'll edit this post to link the nekkid sketchy Maytag when I'm off work :3  EDIT*..Nekkid May  (http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b26/Nilinet/nekkidmay.jpg)
Title: Bernadette

Voulgar was right. She does wear too much clothing... (http://www.flipsidecomics.com/comic.php?i=111)

She's a lot of fun to look at though.. :)

OMFG! .. Why does Bern wear so many clothes?

Anywho. I'm just about done with the characters (besides their faces.. I'm gonna prettify those later)
It's time for me to start working on the background. All I know is that it's going to be epic.

Click on the pic for the Deviantart view.

I really like the maytag in the green outfit.  :-* what made you get the idea to have Bern looking in the tube?

Very cute drawings!  They're cartoony in a sophisticated way, if that makes any sense.  Simple, but highly detailed and elegant (and way better than anything I could draw  :-[).

I've held onto this forever and just thought I should post it here so people can see where the original drawings are today.
This has been a major exercise in learning how to compose a background. Can't say I'd make another like it as far as the symmetry goes. But this was good practice, nonetheless.

I have it on my desktop as a 1440 wide background, but photobucket won't let me have the image that size.
The full size is here on Deviantart (http://ariegn.deviantart.com/art/Flipside-118502199).

btw, thank you all who have commented on it. I hope you all like how it turns out..

I like the proportions, the vibrant colours and the scene in general, it gives a warm and fuzzy cosy feeling all inside :)

Thank you! Most of this was finished in my very own, very first, dwelling... away from ma and pa. Parts of it was also finished in a coffee shop! Lol. It has benefited from the fuzzy cozy feelings of both places  :-*

Lovely work.  I'd almost forgotten about these images.

Thank you.

Yeah, I began working on this during a time my life was going through a lot of changes. This pic was something I had grown out of. But I had a stubbornness to see it finished, even though I'd go without working on it for long periods of time. I have way too many pictures that have died the way this one almost did.

Yet no matter what, even if I did a few minutes here and there, they eventually added up to this. I've learned a lot about what I need to improve on if I'm to continue working on art. That alone, made it all worthwhile to me.

You'd think Bryan would have thought of something like that long before. Great concept.
